  • Description: Rare. The first year production 1954 Gretsch PX6193 Country Club in original Natural finish. Very hard to find! this guitar has particular spec from country club's ex-model Electro II, such as the single bound tortoiseshell pick guard, gold plain knobs, no block inlays on 1 and 17 frets. Great figured flame maple top and in excellent condition. Issues are bridge has been changed to '57 era gold plated space control bridge, re-fretted and changed nut, re-set neck joint (possibly done at gretsch factory). Other than that it's in all original. two gold plated DeArmond™ dynasonic pick ups has much power. They sound brilliant. all original electrics, original gold imperial grover tuner, original gold knobs and G-tailpiece, original rare tortoiseshell pick guard, and original big tweed hard case. It's super beautiful gretsch guitar. Very sensitive and quick response dynasonic pick ups. Nice flame maple top. Comes with original tweed hard case.
