A very versatile combo with the unique ability to take any combination of tubes setup and generate awesome tone! 12" speaker with a present bottom end (not muffly thin bass). This amp also takes pedals great! In other words, very little to no amp coloration (that was by design). This guy wants you to just breathe the natural of your rig through it for great results! Check out the description below from Groove Tubes: The Groove Tubes Soul-O Single Class A amp is the only full featured true single-ended Class A guitar amplifier able to use any common pentode power tube ranging from a 7 watt EL84 up to the mighty 24 watt KT88. The Groove Tubes Soul-o Single is the first tube amp designed specifically for guitar recording that allows the player to customize his tone by simply changing the type of tubes the amp uses. There are two amplifying stages; the preamp stage which has two 9 pin dual triode preamp tubes, and the power tube stage which uses a single pentode. The preamp stage may use either the common 12AX7 or 12AT7 dual triodes for either the 1st or 2nd preamp stage, making four basic options. More impressively perhaps is the Single’s power tube stage, which can use any of the 24 pentode options currently in the Groove Tubes catalog without having to modify or rebias for the tube type or GT performance rating number! This amplifier, when tubed with the 6L6 or the KT88 is more powerful than a Princeton® Reverb. It has roughly the power and loudness of a Deluxe Reverb®. And with the oversized transformers and the 12-inch speaker, it has real bass. It's a very, very versatile and quiet studio amp, but it's also a great gigging amp.
