  • Description: IB - 0003 1973 -74 Ibanez Custom Agent Model 2405 EXC + Alright folks this is one you don't see often and it's the perfect axe for the true vintage afficionado. This is the second one we've managed to acquire. It combines the some of the greatest elements of the Gibson F-5 Mandolin (headstock) , the Gibson Style 5 Mastertone Banjo (fingerboard inlays), and the Gibson Les Paul (flame maple body and humbucking pickups) with suburst maple back. Gibson had gone down the tubes under Norlin management in the seventies and Ibanez was the leading Japanese "lawsuit recipient" making the best quality copies of Les Pauls, L-5's, ES-175's etc. But this one is the cream of the crop. It's not a copy .... it's an homage! That's real Pearl Inlay set into the top below the stop tailpiece. Original tuning pegs.
