  • Description: This limited edition Ibanez DNA guitar was built in 2000, #233 of 300 produced. Apple Music acquired the guitar from the factory; it has never been sold and only rarely has been out of its plush purple lined case. The special ingredient in the paint is blood donated by Steve Vai. The ratio blood to paint is said to be 1:8. The paint was hand swirled in Japan by artist Darren Johansen of About Time Designs; each guitar is totally unique. The guitar assembled in Ibanez Custom Shop in Hoshino and features a basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The inlay on the fretboard features DNA strands and vesicles throughout the 24 frets. The 21st through 24th frets are scalloped. The neck joint is all access. Pickups are Dimarzio Breeds in an HSH configuration. Pickups are green, red and black. It has a locking Lo pro-edge trem, clear pickguard, bright green knobs on the the volume and tone controls and the 5 way pickup selector has a green tip as well. The pickguard, volume and tone knobs as well as the headstock glow under a black light. This is truly a collectors guitar. It comes with its original case, guitar bag and certificate of authenticity. We have 3 Ibanez JEM2KDNA guitars posted for sale. Be sure to look at all three - they are each different.
