1962 Ibanez model 1901 Bass sunburst
This is another very rare early production Ibanez solid body Bass from 1962-4…their 5th year in business. Its Dark Brown’burst is quite attractive over a solid mahogany body. Its Rosewood neck has pearl dot inlays & its Fender type headstock was bold at that time & has a groovy script Ibanez raised logo on it. Its Black pickgard is so deco w/its long wood thumb rest. Its 1 factory humbucker is quite punchy. Its bridge still has its nylon saddles & still sports its chrome cover. Its chrome tuners hold tune well. Overall she’s excellent & all original. This was a P Bass competitor at that time & quite a cool bass overall. No case is included.
