1980 Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer Very Good,

The Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-808 is a classic overdrive pedal that’s become a highly collectable vintage piece as well. The Ibanez brand really hit its stride with both pedals and electric guitars from 1975 to about 1984. The Ibanez line of effects pedals were manufactured by a company called Maxon and rebranded for sales in the US and elsewhere. The TS-808 was manufactured from 1979 to 1981 and is known for being the pinnacle of overdrive pedals. The 808 can be run clean to slam the front end of your amp into sweet overdrive or dialed in with a little smooth clipping of its own to give your amp some unexpected new life.

This 1980 Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-808 is in nice original condition and in perfect working order. The paint has a few nicks and scratches but still retains that vibrant sea sick green paint job. All parts are original to the pedal except for a few capacitor updates in ’92. The work is clean and nicely done. The power input jack on the front is solid but appears to be missing the knurled nut on the front. The original JRC4558D op amp chip is still in place. The potentiometers, input jacks and switch are in good working condition. This will be a solid pedal for years to come.
