Description: Outstanding Early Alvarez Brazilian Model. I am dating this to 1975 due to the Alvarez logo on headstock but the handwritten model number on the older script label leads me to think it must be just after the older labels. This guitar could possibly be a one of a kind due to it's rosewood center instead of curly maple on the three piece back with Brazilian jacaranda wings and sides a few small lacquer hazed spots. The top is two piece Sitka spruce that has a slight belly but has not separated from bracing the action is still very good. Rosewood adjustable bridge with what looks like ivoroid bound ebony fretboard and big pearloid inlays. Very cool and beautiful. The appointments on this guitar are like $4000 Martin's. Chrome sealed tuners and newer logo over Brazilian Jacaranda veneer on headstock. Volute has been played down and filled but is not cracked, repaired or broken. Guitar comes with new gig bag.
