Description

Hold on to your britches and check out this incredible Burning Water 2K by James Tyler. This lightweight (7 pounds, 7 oz.) "super-Strat" will blow you away. To start, this guitar is loud and resonant unplugged (that's always a very good sign). Playability is fantastic and the nearly unfinished smoothness of the neck feels fabulous in your hands. Then there is the tone; the term "Strat on steroids" is quite appropriate here and the mid-boost capability of this guitar is almost like having an on-board compression pedal. Finally, of course, nothing has the visual impact of a Tyler Shmear. Each and every one is unique. This guitar has a solid Alder body, a quartersawn maple neck with the Standard '59 neck shape (.865"- 1.00" on this one by my measurements) and a Brazilian Rosewood fret board. This guitar was sent back to Tyler Guitars for a check-up back in 2012. During that visit the original neck and middle position single coils were switched out for a Stingray 500 and a Supercharged Studebaker, respectively, while the original Super humbucker was retained (see the Tyler personnel's notations on the original spec sheet). This incredible 2007 model guitar is in near mint condition, with the only signs of wear being on the pickguard and the rear trem cover - otherwise it's like new, frets included. Comes with it's original G&G case, tools and paperwork. This is the first Brazilian fretboard Tyler that I've ever come across - a feature which makes an amazing instrument even more special. Another awesome piece from James Tyler....
