  • Description: Doug Kauer has been making his firebird inspired guitar for a few years now but now they are really catching on. Doug had adressed some of the problems inherent in the firebird design and come up with a firebird type guitar that is roadworthy and light. Doug has changed the headstock slightly to make stronger, and by using Steinberger tuners, it is much easier to tune and avoids the problem of neck diving. They are made from Spanish cedar which allows them to be made to weigh between 6 and 7lbs!!!!!! They can be ordered in any color or pickup configuration.
