  • Description: Kay Dreadnaught from the days of big V-8s and FenderĀ® skirts. This is a nicely appointed guitar for its day: rosewood fingerboard, individual Kluson inclosed tuners, multi-bound solid X-braced spruce top, mahogany back and sides (likely ply), metal non-adjustable truss rod. All parts except for the tuner buttons and saddle are original. There are some nicks, dings and playing wear, but nothing drastic. The neck was reset and the frets leveled and polished. Action set at 8/64".About 1 5/8" across at the nut, with string spacing 2 1/4" at the saddle. Scale length is 25 7/8". The guitar has a big sound thanks to the dread size and X-bracing, and plays nicely.
