Description

One of my best customers approached me recently seeking quick liquidity for a vintage guitar purchase and asked me if I would like to purchase the Lentz Hyde Park Tele I had sold him last year. Needless to say, it took me just a nanosecond to agree. This very limited edition (just a handfull have been built per Scott Lentz) guitar has: a one piece Alder body with binding on both sides, finished in three tone sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer and with a total guitar weight of just 7.3 pounds; a neck made from a 25 year old piece of cabinet-aged, ultra-flamed Maple and carved into a 1956 soft V-shape measuring .90" at the first fret tapering up to 1.00" at the twelfth fret, with a 9.5" radius, 6105 frets and a 1 11/16" bone nut; and for electronics, Lentz hand wound custom T pickups with output of 8.02k from the neck pickup and 10.46k from the bridge pickup, along with volume, blender, 3-way switch and high grade pots and oil/paper caps. The incredible Tele goodness of this guitar cannot be overstated. It has everything a Tele should have and then some and the tone is classic Tele with extra dimension. A guitar this good gets lots of play, but even so this special guitar remains in excellent condition with just a bit clearcoat swirling, primarily in the dark areas of the sunburst finish. The frets show little if any wear. It comes with it's original cream colored G&G case in similarly nice condition. Lentz guitars aren't available very often and this model is among the rarest of them all. Grab it while you can - you will be very glad you did!
