1936 Martin 00-18 Excellent, Original Hard, $12,000.00

Quite rare to find a pre-war, mid-1930's Martin 00-18, let alone one in as excellent condition as this. For some reason, this model hardly ever shows up today, in fact far less frequently than do 000- or even 0-18's. This guitar has virtually no cracks anywhere save for an extremely minor one in the side at the lower bout, from a very light blow many years ago. The finish, bridge, frets, tuners, etc. are all original and the action is just beautiful, thanks to a perfect neck reset done here. The tone, now the tone.............it just goes on for days and days, absolutely the very best 00-18 I have ever played, ever. There is normal playing wear but not all that much of it, just the usual little nicks and scratches from almost eighty years of ownership. This guitar was very well cared-for and in one family in North Carolina since new, even has its original hard shell case and green braided strap. It is just as lovely as they come. $12,000 w/ohsc
