Offered is this collector-grade Martin 00-42K Robbie Robertson - number 11 of the 100 built. This guitar was modeled after Robbie's own vintage 1919 00-45K and was first introduced at the 2007 NAMM show. Many of you will know that Martin also made an all-Koa version of this guitar, but most of the folks I've spoken with say this version, with it's Italian Alpine Spruce and Koa combination, is preferred for it's tone. To me, the sound of this guitar reminds me of the acoustic tones from the first and only Blind Faith album. Few guitars exude more elegance than this instrument and it has tone and playability to match it's incredibly good looks. The condition of this guitar is mint/near mint. It does not appear to have seen any appreciable play time and could likely be sold as new. Comes with it's original Geib style case in similarly nice condition. This is one incredible, rare and historically relevant small-bodied Martin. Make it yours. Marvelous.....
