  • Year: 1963
  • Manufacturer: Martin
  • Model: 000-28 C Conversion, Brazilian
  • Case: Hard

  • Condition: Very Good
  • Description: Originally a 000-28C, classical with fan bracing, professionally and skillfully converted to an X braced top. Very nice sitka spruce top, herringbone trim, tortoise pickguard, ebony slotted bridge with long bone saddle, ebony bridgepins with abalone dots. Maple bridgeplate. 12-Fret slotted headstock, 3 on a plate Waverly tuners. gold /ivoroid knobs. Ebony fingerboard with vintage 45 style inlay. Bone nut @ 1 13/16". BIG neck with a mild V. Truss rod added during the conversion. Beautuful highly figured Brazilian Rosewood back & sides. The top, back and sides appear to have been oversprayed. K&K pickup installed. This is a very clean instrument in excellent condition. (Following the Gbase guidelines of descriptive nomenclature anything with changes goes into the "Very good" catagory) Full, rich voice & tone. Note* I usually shy away from guitars with changes, however this is such a well done professional conversion and this instrument sounds & plays Great! Wonderful fingerpicker! Period hardshell case. * Due to the CITES ACT and the more recently imposed and enforced LACEY Act, the tons of paperwork and fees required, I will no longer attempt to export a Brazilian Rosewood Guitar.
