Martin's Custom Shop D-28 is now in stock.
The Custom Shop D-28 is characterized by its handmade construction and the use of selected woods called Custom Shop grade.
The guitars are built and assembled by dozens of skilled craftsmen in the Nazareth factory.

The D-28 features a premium grade Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back with beautiful wavy grain.
The top is torrefied by VTS (Vintage Tone System) technology.
This is a special process that uses heat and pressure on the wood to enhance the wood's vibration characteristics and sound transmission, reproducing vintage-like acoustic characteristics.
The sound is reminiscent of the 1930's and earlier, and you can feel the clear top sound.

One structural feature is that the sound hole is larger than on regular models.
It is louder than the normal model, and gives the impression of adding power to the characteristic rosewood sound with sparkle and depth.
You will notice its sound potential just by lightly playing it.
The neck is approximately 43mm wide at the nut and has a full thickness shape with a firm and thick grip.

The appearance of the neck also makes it a very special model.
The body binding and head binding are made of Paduak wood and brightly decorated with multi-colored rope inlays.
The fingerboard features custom inlays with a torch design, and the design is so noble and beautiful that you will feel fulfilled just by holding it in your hand.

This is a Martin Custom Shop made piece with a lot of attention to detail.
You can enjoy a different Martin sound from the ordinary D-28.
