  • Description: What a fine, fine piece! This guitar was custom ordered and the wood hand selected by Chris Thomas. This is a Custom Shop Martin OMC Laurence Juber-ish model (J-14 size) with stunning Madagascar Rosewood back and sides. It has a fine Adirondack Spruce top with vintage toner; Soft cutaway. It is adorned with Herringbone Pearl inlays. These form the rosette, the top trim, and the 42 style inlay around the fretboard extention. $7500. ON SALE for $6495 ! The top braces are Adirondack scalloped 1/4". The neck is Mahogany (modified V profile) with Mahogany blocks and Dovetail neckjoint. Ebony fretboard bound in Ebony. The body is bound in grained Ivoroid and serves as the tailwedge and heelcap as well Zig Zag back center strip; clear pickguard. Ebony bridge with Mammoth Ivory bridge pins/abalone dots. The headstock faceplate is Madagascar Rosewood with a large, old-style C.F.Martin logo. The tuning machines are Waverly Nickel with butterbean buttons. The fingerboard has a 16" radius and G300 fretwire. Bone nut & saddle. Fishman Ellipse Blend active pickup system. Custom fit Geib style case with vintage Rootbeer colored lining. This guitar has a Tremendous voice, it is throaty and loud and makes your belly jump when you play it! The guitar is in near mint condition. It does have one non-consequential, factory repaired 2" seam in the side, where the wood did not accept the grain filler as magnaminously as the rest of the guitar, that is slightly visible.
