1941 Martin D-18 Excellent, Original Hard, $8,995.00

A pre-war Martin canon, as it should be. From early in 1941 and with no top cracks, quite unusual. Spectacular action (with ebony fingerboard and bridge) to match the spectacular sound. Rock solid too, with a few repairs done years ago. Neck reset quite nicely; replaced bridge a bit oversize, ditto bridge plate; reinforcing plate and one replaced brace under the fingerboard area of the top; a few ancient very solidly done back cracks, nothing serious. 1-11/16" width at the nut with that great great neck shape that only pre-war Martins have. Best-ever current Waverly tuners. Nice playing wear but definitely not too much of it, just the right amount.
