Powerful and percussive vintage sound with Hakaranda fingerboard/bridge, long saddle and mahogany sideback.

The D-style 18 was born in 1931, and in 1934, the Martin D-18 became the current style with a 14-fret joint.
The D-18 is so popular along with the higher end models that there are those who say that the 18 is the only Martin.

This is a gem made in 1964.
The pegs are original Cruson single line. It is in very good condition and still shining.
The pickguard is the original tortoiseshell pickguard. No Martin cracks.

This guitar has been well maintained by an acoustic guitar specialist to enhance playability, and the frets, nut, bridge (Hakaranda), and saddle have been replaced.
The fretboard surface has also been modified, and rosewood has been laid under the original Hakaranda fretboard.
The neck has also been over-lacquered to correct the adjustments and dents, and there are a few other areas of repair, but all have been carefully worked on to enhance playability and allow you to enjoy the vintage sound comfortably.

The mahogany sideback provides the expansive low frequency range that only a mahogany sideback can provide.
The wild treble, which is present without losing its low range, is very attractive.
The sound that does not fall apart even with heavy picking is really pleasant to play.
It is a very expressive instrument that allows you to enjoy a rich and colorful sound even when playing arpeggios and other delicate techniques.

The neck has been straightened and adjusted to an optimal string height of 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side at the 12th fret.
