Yet another wonderful Martin from the early 1970s, this one in extremely nice condition. A perfect action with medium stings (.013-.056) makes it a fabulous flatpicking guitar; it can work at least as well with lights (.012-.053) for all you fingerpickers. There are no cracks (other than that usual teeny inner pickguard thing) and no issues of any sort. Extremely close inspection indicates overspray at the Martin factory a very long time ago. We have no idea why, but often in those days when a guitar was sent back to Martin for minor action adjustment, they would recommend "polishing it", which in their book meant adding a bit of lacquer. Nutty to be sure and no one does this anymore, but true nonetheless; we've seen it literally hundreds of times. Bottom line is that this is an extremely nice older D-18 with a huge clear tone and fab playability. Comes with its original hard shell case. $2995 w/ohsc.
