  • Description: Martin completely redesigned the D-18 for 2012, combining the standard model with the D-18V, and changing up the neck feel significantly. From the Vintage series the new D-18 borrows scalloped and forward shifted bracing, ebony fingerboard and bridge, vintage appointments, and toned finish. From the standard series comes the drop-in saddle and low-profile oval neck carve, and lower pricetag. We applaud Martin for these changes to their standard model D-18, and highly recommend this instrument. Sitka spruce top with forward shifted scalloped bracing, South American mahogany back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, tortoiseshell plastic bindings and beveled-edge pickguard, bone nut and compensated saddle, vintage style tuning machines, old-style headstock logo, vintage-toned nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Modified low-oval neck with 1-3/4” width at the nut, 25.4” scale, and satin finish. With Martin 445 Hardshell case.
