  • Description: This Martin Smartwood guitar is supposed to help save the planet, but it is also capable of shaking it up a little. The top and A frame X braces are of of solid Sitka Spruce, and the sides, back, neck and end blocks are all made from sutainable Cherry. The cherry neck is bolted and glued with a mortise and tenon joint. The fingerboard is Catalox, an oriental rosewood cousin. Binding is multilayer light and dark with tortoise on the outside, and a matching Tortoise peghead overlay and soundhole ring. The guitar is loud and clear, with punch much like a D-18V, plays perfectly (we'll set it up like you like it). The price is a very moderate $1349, cosnsidering that list is $1769.00.
