  • Description: Circa 1980 Aria Pro II Les Paul DELUXE. Made by Matsumoku in Japan and super RARE! Incredible axe on all levels which easily compares with the early Tokai Love Rock and Reborn models. Roughly equivalent to an early Tokai LS-80 (fret edge binding, 2 piece maple top) except it's routed as a Deluxe. How cool is that? You never see one of these with stock mini-'buckers. You can buy MIJ LP Standards all day long, but finding a MIJ Deluxe from the early 80's is next to impossible. This ARIA PRO-II Les Paul Deluxe is ALL Original and is a KILLER Les Paul in every sense of the word. Obviously an upper-end model as evidenced by the high-end features like fret-edge binding, cellulose trapezoid fret markers, Gibby style truss rod, braided signal wire, full-sized pots and 3 piece mahogany neck. There is very little difference in construction between this and the Gibby. Weight is 8.9 pounds. Beautiful Cherry Sunburst over 2 piece solid maple top. No Swiss cheese here! Very dark rosewood fretboard (probably Brazilian) and excellent frets showing only minimal wear. Has a few really small dings and some handling marks. Back of neck is perfectly smooth. No signs of abuse. Slight scuffing on the back which would polish out. Otherwise, beautiful condition for a 31 year old vintage axe. Medium neck profile. Beautiful axe that plays great with low, comfortable action. Controls work perfectly with no static or noise. Neck is straight. Just set-up and ready to play. Brand new Les Paul style hard case is included (not the Gibson case pictured).
