Bill Nash’s Nash Guitars has grown to be a major player on the custom-made hand-built guitar market in recent years and this ’63 Stratocaster-inspired model is a perfect example of why! Tastefully aged, it immediately brings an authentic-feeling vintage Fender vibe (only without that vintage Fender price!). The relic’ing looks to be between the “medium” and “heavy” options that Nash offers, with a super comfortable broken-in neck and wear around the edges of the body that looks like it was earned over 50 years of strummin’ and bummin’! The thinly layered nitrocellulose Gunmetal Grey finish pairs beautifully with the tortoise shell 3-ply pickguard. This baby has a fantastic full-bodied sound to it; a wonderful, ringing bell-like tone. Overall the S-63 is the perfect guitar for anyone who has dreamed of owning a ‘60s Strat without taking out a couple of mortages and selling a couple kidneys.
