From the great, great years of the original National Triolians, the late 1920s, complete with palm trees and setting sun scene stencil-painted on the back, in red no less. For a brief while back then, someone at National made the misguided call to mold entire necks out of one solid piece of Bakelite. Turned out to be not the best idea, as every single one of them seems to have since irreversibly warped. To the rescue in this instance comes the current National Company, builders of the best resonator guitars ever, and they were gracious enough to make for us a perfect, spectacular looking and superbly playing neck for this guitar. Looks like a million bucks, plays like two million bucks, sounds like the coolest National you ever heard and bonus, has a modern-style 16" radius to the rosewood fingerboard for wonderful ease of playing. Original paint on the body, original cone, original biscuit, original tuners too. Bottom line, one of the best pre-war Nationals we've ever played or seen. Comes with original hard shell case, sorta usable. Original serial-numbered Bakelite neck comes with it. $4995 w/xohsc
