  • Description: URB32843. Most players remember the painted Triolian polychrome from the '30s. Original examples are still bringing astronomical prices. Don Young and the talented folks at National Resophonic carefully hand painted this Polychrome reissue to match the look of the original Polychrome Triolians, including the detailed palm tree design on the back. The thin-gauge steel body is constructed with flat cut "f" holes, a formed back, and traditional non-ribbed cover plate. The maple neck, complete with maple fret board, clears 12 frets to the body and features ivoroid binding and traditional engraved tuners. Of course it has the look, but it also has the sound, that edgy , biting tone that sets the National resonator apart from all others.
