  • Description: Restored by Phil Petillo. Giuseppe Nettuno was a member of a guitar/Mandolin building collective taht was active in the early 1900's in New York City and is thought to have been located on Bleeker street. The most famous of this group was John D'Angelico who went on to become what many consider to be the greatest of all archtop builders - ever! This one was in a state of disrepair when first uncovered so what better to do with it than bring it to another storied luthier for restoration. Mr. Petillo (who has since passed) built and affixed a new bridge, repaired a crack, reset the neck, refretted it and repaired the bracing. Now it's a top flight player and a wonderful sounding parlor guitar with a passive peizo pickup installed under the saddle. She's gig ready!
