  • Description: I've been fortunate enough to play several dozen of Terry McInturff's impeccable guitars, and this is the best. In fact, it's one of the finest guitars I've ever held or played. Check the photo of this guitar's DRP Certificate to see how special it is, with many rare or one-off features for a McInturff guitar. The body is chambered alder, capped with a heavily-figured big-leaf maple top in custom Sky Blue finish. The neck, fretboard and headstock overlay are all highly-figured East Indian rosewood with a 24.75, Les Paul scale length that was special-ordered for this Empress. The neck carve is also custom, similar to Terry's '57 carve but with even a bit more beef. If you like a big neck you will love this one! The electronics are volume & tone knobs, 5-way selector, and a solo (direct-out) toggle switch. TCM Zodiac pickups, Sperzel locking tuners, and beautiful paua rope inlays complete the package. And it is all housed in a custom-fitted, climate-controlled Ameritage hard case. This is not a typical humbucking-powered guitar. It was designed to be tight, snappy, and responsive, and it is all that. Unamplified, the guitar rings out like an archtop. A truly unique instrument in near-mint condition. $2895
