The model name is in reference to the fact it has “5 pickups and 13 distinct sounds.” With a gorgeous special-order “10-top” premium flame finish (PRS’s top-of-the-line finish option), Shadow Bird fret inlays, and Wide-Fat set Mahogany neck this 25th Anniversary edition is an incredibly versatile yet unique guitar! It also sports a 25th Anniversary Eagle logo overlay on the headstock. The 5-way pickup selector coupled with a 3-way “tone selector” switch give you full control over a cornucopia of sonic options, from screaming leads to thick jazzy tones to jangly rhythm. All of your bases are covered with this baby! It has a scale length of 25 ¼” with a radius of 10” for the 22 fret bound rosewood fret board. It measures 1 21/32th” at the nut. The PRS-designed vibrato bar system coupled with the 14:1 Phase II locking tuning machines allows for maximum tuning stability even when executing massive dive bombs! It is in exquisite cosmetic condition with barely a mark of wear to be found! There is a very small ding at the tip of the headstock and some extremely light scratches on the back and top but it is otherwise exceptionally clean. It weighs in at a manageable 8 pounds 2 ounces and feels quite well-balanced when using a strap. The guitar has been set-up by our in-house guitar tech and plays like a dream. Overall this 513 is a perfect example of PRS’s combination of technical advancement and premium quality, a versatile piece that would work for any number of musical genres!
