A mahogany body with a carved figured maple top and a mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fretboard & rosewood headstock overlay, 25th Anniversary shadow bird inlays and headstock Eagle offer a distinctive new look. Then coupled with a pair of 1957/2008 pickups, the most exciting, talked about pickups since the PAF! PRS obtained exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in the most revered pickups in the '50s. Paul Reed Smith obtained the rights to the wire in 2008, and 1957 was the year the humbucker was first commercially available, hence the name 1957/2008. These are truly amazing, warm toneful pickups with tremendous note bloom, articulation and must be heard to be believed.
