  • Description: Paul Reed Smith PRS greeted the new year with the amazing P22, PRS's first piezo equipped solid body guitar. The P22 features a redesigned LR Baggs piezo system, allowing guitarists to have both acoustic & electric tones in one instrument. Paul Reed Smith has over a decade of experience with LR Baggs piezo systems in their acclaimed hollow body guitars models. This new LR Baggs piezo system retains the same circuit design as the original hollow body systems but is more than 60% smaller to comfortably fit into the P22 solid body guitar, rendering the same extraordinary tonal voices as PRS hollow body instruments. The new Paul Reed Smith PRS P22 comes standard with a Mahogany back, figured Maple top, "Pattern Regular" profiled Mahogany neck with a 22 fret Rosewood fretboard with bird inlays and 25" scale length. Also standard are uncovered 53/10 pickups with the new bobbins which sound incredible and clean up beautifully when rolling off the volume. This beauty features an optional Indian Rosewood Neck. The rosewood neck gives it that "broken in" feel and so comfortable immediately, feels instantly like an old friend! This P22 also features a gorgeous Goldtop finish and is breath taking!
