Rare Brazilian Rosewood is used for SANTANA II.
The SANTANA II is a signature model designed based on a guitar made for Carlos Santana in 1980, and was produced from 1998 to 2007 as a successor to the SANTANA I, which was first marketed from 1995 to 1998. The uniquely shaped, near-symmetric mahogany body is covered with a gorgeous figured maple top and set with a 24.5" scale mahogany neck. Rare Brazilian rosewood is used for the fingerboard, head veneer, and rod covers. The head eagle and other parts of the instrument are inlaid with gorgeous Avalon shells. This is a wonderful instrument with a mellow midrange, rich sustain, and fatness.
