Back in the days of real innovation Hartley Peavey (like Nathaniel I. Daniel before him) found ways to make great guitars and amps for as low a price as possible. Since electric guitars and basses had long come of age by the '70s Peavey knew the stakes were higher. So with a myriad of manufacturing innovations Peavey produced the T-40 bass and the T-60 guitar.
This T-40 bass is U.S. made with ash body, split maple micro-tilt neck, two fat and rich humbuckers, phase switch, and a bridge more bad ass than a Badass. The pickup selector and phase switches as well as 2 knobs have been replaced.
It's easy to make a cookie cutter copy in a foreign land. All the f&g logo peddlers do that in mass quantities every day. But here is a more interesting and versatile way to keep your bottom covered for not a lot of dough.
