  • Description: Just like to start by saying that Lorenzo Pimental and family in New Mexico are making some wonderful guitars and we have seen a few sweet ones here in Boulder - but I do think that this is probably the nicest! From the original Colorado owner, here is a beautiful, near mint condition, 1994 Pimentel Concert guitar custom ordered as strung left- handed, Spruce top, Indonesian Rosewood back and sides, 2 1/16" wide ebony fretboard, flat back, Schaller gears, and a special gold dot inlay at the 7th fret. An absolute monster guitar with impeccable workmanship, fantastic playability, an unreal distinctive resonant throaty voice, and tonewoods that have made it all possible. She's an ambidextrous beauty too as we have had her strung right-handed around here with good result. Just a stand out classical guitar in every way. With a lower bout 14" wide, upper bout at 11 1/8", 2 1/16 fretboard - the instrument is 4 1/4 deep at the endpin and 3 7/8" at the neckblock with a 25 5/8" scale. This one has some super light playwear but nothing more than a very few micro dinks and a miniscule blush of button love barely visible on the back. The pictures tell the real story and I've got a lot more on request. All in all, a brilliant instrument from some great builders. You could buy a base model Concert from Pimentel today for $5999 but here's this lovely Custom with upgraded woods, a sweet wide fingerstyle neck, and brilliant appointments for far less.
