  • Description: From the original Colorado owner, here is an incredibly rare 1969 Rickenbacker Model 366 12/6 string conversion guitar in Near Mint condition in her original silver hardshell case. The instrument shows virtually no playwear with minty fretboard, frets, and neck and only very minor handling wear as detailed below. The guitar is equipped with an ingenious comb like converting device that pulls six strings down, effectively muting them so the instrument sounds like a six string. In both six and twelve string mode, this guitar plays and sounds great with maximum jangle and buttery action and playability. Every atom of the guitar is original and as it came from the Santa Ana factory the year of Woodstock, Abby Road, and the Altamont festival though it's apparent that the instrument has spent the vast majority of it's life under the proverbial bed! Brilliant unfaded fireglow finish is unchecked with only a handful of very very small dinks. Near perfect top and sides with some light buckle worming on the back and a very small dink midway on the otherwise pristine neck. But, as you can see from the pictures, the guitar is in extraordinary condition and a fine and rare example of this Model. If you've been wanting one of these for your collection, this would be it!
