I have, over the years opined to my ever-patient business partner that Ricky basses are very much like grocery buggies- oftentimes, you'll get one with a wonkied wheel, but every once in a blue moon, you'll get a great one that goes straight. Folks, this bass is that buggy with four good wheels and it indeed goes straight...
We'll start with a great, straight neck with low action. That's a must for these basses and you will love the neck on this 4003 from the moment you put your left hand on it. The pickups are nice and growly with a great, cutting midrange tone that pushes through all the Marshall stacks you'll ever have to deal with. That's a must-have if your guitar player breaks into "Slide It In" for the fifth time that night.
The finish is shiny and American-made quality- this bass shows off a deeper, warmer red than the "clownbursts" you'll see on some of these instruments. There is one noticeable ding behind the bridge and a few light surface scratches that you'll have to look for. Even at 12 years old, the bass is still in what we would consider excellent condition. It and the case have been detailed and the bass restrung with new strings and set up by the world-famous guitar tech to the stars, Elk Hefe.

Items must be returned within 24 hours (of notification of intent to return) in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
