Description

If you adore your vintage L-5 but can't bear the thought of taking it out to gigs anymore, perhaps this lovely Sadowsky archtop will interest you. This is one of Roger's LS-17 models built in 2012. This 25.5" string scale instrument has a large 17" wide and 2.75" deep body made of premium Maple laminate and it pushes a lot of air for great vintage tone! The total weight is just 6 pounds, 3 ounces. The bone nut measures 1.75". The neck is a one-piece Maple design with an Ebony fingerboard and ivoroid binding. The bridge, tailpiece, pickguard and headstock overlay are Ebony as well. The electronics consist of a single, vintage PAF-style pickup with volume and tone controls. Jazz players will immediately feel at home with this guitar. It is has a very natural feel and sound. As Vintage Guitar Magazine said about this model, it has it all....."vibe, quality, tone, feel, and comfort.” This 2012 violinburst example is in mint/near mint condition. In fact, I really question whether it was ever played before I received it. It comes with it's similarly mint hardshell case, paperwork, tools and a spare saddle for use when a wound G string set is used. A new example of this instrument will run you $4.5K, but you can have this near new example for much less. A lovely vintage-style, large body archtop in superb condition!
