Description

I've heard so much about this model that I knew that I had to have one for my inventory. Offered is this superb Santa Cruz 00 Eric Skye model built in 2013. This is a small bodied/short scale guitar that really cooks! Specs for this lovely instrument include: a slightly deeper than usual 00 body size; an Adirondack Spruce top with scalloped Adirondack bracing and hide glue construction; back and sides of highly figured Cocobolo; a V-shaped 12-fret neck with 24.9" scale length, 1 13/16" nut width and 2 1/4" string spacing; a slotted headstock with Cocobolo overlay; Waverly tuners; and for cosmetics, ivoroid body, headstock and neck bindings, black side dots, a zipper style back strip, herringbone purfling and ivoroid rosette. To say that this guitar responds well to the player's attack is a bit of an understatement - this is a very responsive guitar, whether finger or flat-picked. The tone is clear, warm and nicely balanced between the upper and lower frequencies. It is also a beautiful instrument with a very straight-grained Adirondack top and some of the most impressively figured Cocobolo I've come across. This guitar is in near mint condition, with a few light pick marks on the pick guard being the only flaws I can find. It comes with it's similarly mint Ameritage/Santa Cruz case and paperwork, including the un-executed warranty card. A new example of this masterpiece will cost approximately $6,300 but you can have this near new example for quite a bit less. Hurry, as this one beckons to remain with me......
