  • Description: VGC, rare original Selmer guitar that has been much modified, probably began life as a 25-1/2'' scale model with no cutaway, at some point it has been modified with a new fingerbard and cutaway and longer (~26-1/2'') scale, spruce top with D-shaped soundhole and multi-colored rosette, black top and back binding, 6-layer top purfling, laminated rosewood back and sides, walnut neck meets body at 13th fret of replacement ebony fingerboard, 21 full frets plus 3 partials under the ''E'' and ''B'' strings, ~1-3/4'' width at the ''zero'' fret, slotted headstock with original gold Selmer tuners, ebony bridge is positioned slightly behind original wings as position has changed proportionally to accommodate the longer scale, tailpiece was original for a tenor guitar and has been modified for 6 strings, top has many repaired cracks in top, back and sides, entire guitar has been refinished, some surface repairs have wood filler in them, many surface distortions, good gypsy jazz sound, on consignment, with newer HSC (blue lining). Gypsy Jazz guitar great John Jorgenson says that this is between the two Favinos we have.
