  • Description: Up for sale is one used 1986 Taylor Model 650 12-String acoustic guitar in excellent condition and perfect playing order. This fine dreadnought-style guitar features a Spruce top, striking Maple back and sides and Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard. The neck is bound and the body is double-bound. Gold Grover tuners adorn the Rosewood-faced headstock and a Rosewood bridge houses wood bridge pins. The neck is extremely easy to play with a flat C-profile and a nut width of 1 7/8". The guitar has nice, full-range tone, slightly stronger in the mids and highs. It does have a pickup system that is not original to the guitar. We're not sure of the model but it is an active one without E.Q. It has been a player's guitar as is evidenced by the blemishes seen in the photos, the biggest being on the very tip of the headstock. It definitely does not affect playability. There are some dings on the top, but none of them affect playability either. The frets are in remarkable condition showing only a hint of wear in the campfire position. The gold on the tuners is showing a bit of wear but they still look fab. A lot of 12-string guitars can be quite difficult to play but this one has an ease you don't find very often. All in all, a fantastic 12-string. This wonderful 12-string comes with the original hardshell case and has a serial number of 42** indicating the year of manufacture to be 1986.
