  • Description: Tim Tone guitars were produced by British Columbia luthier Tim Diebert between 1992 and 2007. His unique instruments were very finely crafted and featured unique designs and tone. The Blowfish model offered here is a fully hollow, thin-body, acoustic-electric instrument, with a braced spruce top and carved figured mahogany body. The instrument features a Kent Armstrong neck-mounted floating mini-humbucker and bridge-saddle mounted active piezo acoustic pickup, each with their own side mounted volume control. The neck is a sandwich of mahogany and ebony, and set to the guitar’s body at the 15th fret. Scale is 25”, nut width is 1-3/4”, and the shape is a fast, low C. 15-3/4” wide body, 5.5 pounds light. Designed to appeal to modern Jazz musicians, the guitar has a mellow and warm neck pickup sound, but with the added versatility of the acoustic piezo pickup. Fit and finish are very precise, and the instrument is cleanly put together. Ebony fingerboard features a pearl inlay at the 12th fret and maple binding; black hardware throughout, including Gotoh 510 tuners. With bomb-proof flight case Note that shipping costs will be higher than normal thanks to the size of the case.
