  • Description: SPRUCE/ROSEWOOD w/ SCHERTLER PICKUP SYSTEM - SQUARENECK - Master resonator guitar builder Tim Scheerhorn and monster player Rob Ickes have teamed up with the folks at Wechter guitars & instrument builders in Asia to produce this latest model squareneck resonator guitar. Designed by Scheerhorn & Ickes, manufactured in Asia and assembled & setup by the staff at Wechter's Indiana based shop. This model features the signature Scheerhorn open body design with soundposts and baffle, very high quality laminate body w/ rosewood back & sides & spruce top, mahogany neck, dual round sound holes with screenless rings, bound body & neck, herringbone body purfling, small tortoise shell pickguard, antique natural gloss finish, dot inlaid fretboard w/ simulated fret inlays, spun Scheerhorn resonator cone, cast spider bridge, hard maple inserts, bone nut. The Schertler pickup system includes the ''basik'' element with onboard volume, treble and bass controls (mounted just inside the soundholes) all wired to a standard 1/4'' outout jack.
