Description: Just for show. My collection of some of the flamiest and sonically best Weissenborns I have ever had or seen. In the large pic of all four we have (from left to right) style 2, a very dark hue'd style 3, a magnificent style 4 and an early 20s style 1 that has SO much flame and medular grain going SO many directions that no one pic captured it all. ALSO ... SEE MORE IMAGES FOR THE SUNLIT PIC OF THE STYLE 4!!! And finally ... the rarer "Tear Drop" single bout Hawaiian. Hermann Weissenborn built the best lap Hawaiians ever. Knutsens are a whole other world as far as unique beauty too but it is the opinion of most players that the Weissenborns are the best guitars to the ear and playability. SELL ME YOURS TODAY!!!!!!!!!! {Style 1 has 3 concentric circles and dot inlays: Style 2 has black bound front and back and the beginnings of "Rope Binding" around the soundhole and the fancier triangle and diamond shaped inlays at the nut and 12th respectively and a light holly wooden fingerboard binding unique to this model only: the Style 3 has Rope Binding around the soundhole, top and fingerboard w/ fancy inlays: and the fanciest Style 4 has Rope around the soundhole, top, fingerboard, back and headstock and the fancier inlays. It is said that the styles 3 and 4 got the best looking Koa ... but my style 1 says bullshit!!!... this being one of the most rediculously flamed ever right along with my 4. Sometimes on the 2's, 3's and 4's the inlay at the 12th will vary from the diamond shape to a parallelogram}. The Tear Drop is the newest aquisition as of 8/20/2011.
