Up for sale, a 1975 Fender Precision Bass in excellent condition and perfect working order. With its maple neck and ash body, this bass delivers all the punch, sustain, and warmth that have made P basses ubiquitous on stages and in studios the world over. As much as we like Leo's original Precision bass, it just can't do what good Jazz bass can do. It is nice and punchy with a defined top end and excells when playing fingerstyle. This vintage '74 is serious piece of lumber at 10.7 lbs, and it translates through with some super thick and sustained tone. The pickups are a newer Fender Reissue set but all else is original.
This bass plays and sounds great, it’s a lefty! She has THAT tone. All the parts are there. A million years ago, a graphic was painted on and since removed. It’s a really nice, solid bass, Mid 9 pounder, original 81 pots and just a good good bass. We removed the graphic as it was painted over the original finish. After we removed the artwork, we gave the body a very light French polish. It...
Vintage original 1973 Fender Precision Bass. Nice and clean and all original. Plays fantastic. Neck has a wonderful feel with a low action. Original pickups sound fantastic. Warm and punchy with that signature P-Bass tone. A perfect example for the player and collector alike!
Natural on ash body, maple neck and board, excellent sounding original pickup, shows nicks and scratches on the top and back, a few through the finish, back of neck also with some nicks, new nut, one changed knob, sounds and plays great, comes with the original hard case. $2500 Click on the more photos button below for more photos.
This beautiful P-Bass is "so clean & original"....plays fantastic & sounds awesome. Still has the chrome pickup cover, and the case is in awesome shape. Most would say it's "near mint". No fret wear and new strings. Gig ready & very collectable.

Designed by Leo Fender as a prototype in 1950 and brought to market in 1951, the Precision was the first electric bass to earn widespread attention and use. A revolutionary instrument for the time, the Precision Bass has made an immeasurable impact on the sound of popular music ever since. The body of the bass is very...

flourished first with Sunny Day Real Estate and then the Foo

yet hard-hitting bassist Nate Mendel--his 1971 Precision Bass®.
Fender now brings you the Nate Mendel P Bass®, modeled after his
beloved, battle-hardened instrument.

Charcoal Frost has always been one of our favorite Fender Custom Colors. We have been lucky enough to have had a few Charcoal Frost guitars and basses come through over the years and are very happy to now offer this one. This is an early first year example of Charcoal Frost with most examples of this finish being produced in 1966 and 1967. The bass is all original and comes with the original...
Nice 1971 P bass , excellent player . Original 304-7116 pots, pickup, pickguard, bridge , tuners etc... low action good frets, shows average wear and tear... Original color coat was cream, but the finish was dropped down to the poly natural undercoat, for a semi-gloss natural finish. So,,, not 100% original finish but not re-finished either. Clean original Tolex case, one bad latch. Books...
This bass did not survive the 80s. Stop yer crying… This bass kills and will kick your teeth in. Has the mandatory passive Dimarzio mod and looks like it had a route under the guard for an 18v rig and an early onboard preamp. WHO CARES! The bass plays and sounds great for the price of an import. The black refin is DEADLY good, it looks real. The body is a 1975. The neck is the magic – it’s a 1983...

Everything about this vintage P-Bass is Big with a capital "B." Big sound. Big tone. Big neck. And yes, it's 70s Fender so it's pretty weighty too. This color combo looks incredible, the white is still pretty white, not much yellowing, though there was some bleed from the case so there's a red spot on the back and on the edge. Good action too, it's a pleasure to play.
Years ago, when I still owned my TV repair shop, I played in a three- piece band called Odd Man Out. My drummer was a guy named Rob Smith and he was easy to get along with and as solid a drummer as you could ever want. Not overly flashy, but just damn solid. Well, we played this local coffee house/ pub called Peckerhead Brewery and I can recall nothing but great times and many microbrewery beers...
1973 was a very memorable year for me for a couple of reasons. I was 10 years- old and in 3rd grade. My teacher was Ida B. Prather, who later became somewhat of a cultural/ civil rights icon here in Atlanta. It was also the year of my first "official" crush and the lovely young recipient of my affection was named Leslie Wyatt. She had the fairest skin and her face was framed by straight, golden...
