Got "the" pickup, got that MOTO Pearloid body covering, got the look, got the tone. Better yet, got a really cool tweed-looking original chipboard case. Fixed cable with wild fat-bodied plug. Tuners replaced long ago with high-functioning import ones. Set up here, plays perfectly. $599 w/ossc
1948 Supro Comet lap steel in white pearloid finish. Excellent condition with a little rust/tarnish on the pickup cover, replacement Kluson tuners and out jack, but otherwise clean & original. No case.

The Supro Comet was National's budget model lap steel. That being said, it is a great sounding and playing steel guitar. The Supro pickup, with strings through the magnetic field, has a wonderful tone that works well for blues and/or rock and roll music.

1957 National Studio lap steel in excellent condition. Ivory colored celluloid covering, similar to the Supro Studio model from around the same time.
