#4500 This is a 14 fret resonator that has a near flawless finish except for a few minor scrapes at the edges and a few minor ticks on the back. Only the #3466 that I own has anything close to the perfection of this baby. Soundwise this blows doors off most resonators even with finger style action way low. Beautiful, the few blemishes give it character and credence to how wonderful sounding this instrument is. The wear is better than expected for a 60's instrument. Soundhole has finish scraped off treble edge. Above soundhole distressed area near fretbd from pickwear. We installed an old custom Mastadon bone saddle onto a newly carved Rosewood bridge that he expertly fitted onto the guitar - Joe Jesselli is my hero and the supreme overseer of my guitars, replaceing the old, horrible black Plastic bridge (in the case) that 63 Gibsons were outfitted with. This ancient mariner sounds terrific and looks like nothing most guitarists have ever seen. this special L-00 model was made to commemorate the Chicago World's Fair of 1932-3. Hence named after the Century of Progress slogan used at the fair.
The bridge has been reglued and a small piece of wood added to the top at the lower bout, but on the whole this guitar is rock solid!

An excellent melodic nylon from 1960's with a big sound and surprisingly great condition. Two stable top cracks. Wide but not too wide fingerboard, tight,not sloppy string tension and low action make for a very easy to play, satisfying guitar from a famed American builder. #3204 This guitar has a troubled exterior but a heart of gold.
It has serious mojo but also, a long repaired crack on it's back.
The back looks like a topigraphical map of the Badlands, but it is all softened with age to an almost soft leather-like texture.
The front has a repaired crack from the bridge to the soundhole but none of this affects the sound. You must play this guitar.

#4115004 This is a Deluxe model, or custom order with original tortoise binding and original stainless steel tuners. The wood top was badly refinned near the soundhole probably because the strummer went a bit haywire during a hootenany.
The dark tortoise binding has discolored and shows signs of deterioration and oxidation, much like old Gretch guitars. The back is a bit banged around and has one (badly repaired) 3" crack at the bottom of the back. The guitar sounds great- A miracle!

This is a very fine Banner headstock LG-2 that
1) sounds especially wonderful. Plenty of midrange, clear and melodic with a strong, defined bass.
2) Comfortable round C neck, not the baseball bat. A great example of 40's Gibson production with a cool vintage vibe. No major cracks no issues all original as far as I can tell. #902D Converted Hawaiian version (changed nut) of L-00 (converted many years ago) to become a period correct version of the L-00 but with a slightly wider neck and 12 fret tone. One repaired top crack, but otherwise in surprisingly excellent condition considering its age. Minor scratches on back but the soft V neck is in great shape. This has looks and the sound. A great Gibson blues machine that has an
early original adjustable saddle that works fine and does not affect the tone.
There are small recent scrapes around the sound hole, two dings in the finish near the bottom and a tightly repaired crack from the treble side of the fretboard that continues past the sound hole and ends at the top of the bridge. Great looking square shouldered and in above average condition for 68, this is a handsome musical instrument. #0624 The ultimate in resonator style. Recent neckset. One 2" dent on lower corner of back lower bout. some other very minor dings but SOUNDS GREAT. . Play wear at top of neck. Neck is straight Plays well for both blues slide and even fingerstyle. Headstock Decal is partly worn away. There is a wonderful zing at the finish of notes almost electric in feeling that only happens with tricones. Just back from the shop. Described in Brosman's book on page 278 as #0 late period reso mandolin, Loud, rare 40's palm trees on the side. Some faded areas on back, but otherwise in remarkable condition. Even has Rose engraving on crosspiece that protects the bisquit. Supercool tan tolex original case in great condition. Plays and sound's great. This is in better condition than the other one on my site all-original piano finish resonator from the 30's that looks too cool.
