This late 1930’s Geib case is essentially identical to the ‘Red Line’ cases that Gibson provided with their L-5 and J-200 models, but without the famous ‘Red Line’ around the top. 1971 Juan Estruch
Juan Estruch was a family line of guitar builders from Barcelona with origins in the late 1800’s. Estruch guitars are not terribly well known outside of Spain, but are mid-level well built instruments nonetheless. This model was bought in Barcelona by its one and only owner, and used seldom through the years here in Canada. It remains housed in its original hardshell case to this day, with the original bill of sale and owner’s pamphlet.

Serial # 70339660. There’s just something about a well-aged black Les Paul custom, isn’t there? Sunbursts are cool and all, but most of us here at Folkway would be quite tickled to take home this Black Beauty. It’s a 1979 model, with pots dated late ’78, gorgeously worn-in finish and parts, and killer tone. And it’s completely original but for one replaced knob. And best yet – you’ll find the original owner’s documents in the case pocket!

FON R6934-5. A no excuses guitar, with seriously good looks, excellent playability, and great tone. An adjustable bridge model that was flawlessly converted by us not too long ago; repro bridge with drop-in bone saddle, and new 50’s sized maple bridge plate. It would be tough to tell that it wasn’t originally a non-adjustable model, were it not for the J-45 ADJ ink stamped on the back’s inside center strip.
