SOLD. Unbelievably great sounding, resonant, light weight '57 Strat. Body patched, refined and reliced. Pickups rewound by Lindy Fralin ( and sound soooo good ). '63 P bass necks rule, and of all the ones I've ever seen this is definitely the most recent. Body stripped for the look 'o real wood, nice. Meet Mr. Mojo; this thing has great color, more rich than appears in pics,
looks way too good with the tortoise 'guard. Original matching headstock too, and a very flamey neck. Speaking of which, the neck has been worn in to the point that it feels as good as any Fender rosewood 'board neck you'll ever get your hands on. Tuners are repros, there had been some Fender
"F" tuners on which left some extra holes in back and superficial splits to

Until 5 minutes ago these were thought to have been first issued in 1982. Well, UPDATE; this one's from December '81. Serial # stamped on the ridge inside the control cavity ( a-la the Guitar Trader '59 Les Paul Reissues from '82 / '83 ), and NOT on the back of the headstock, no "Made in USA" stamp either. Wow. Extremely fine condition, one owner '43 "Banner" J-45, and this one
really does sound and play as good as it looks. Huge 5 piece maple / walnut neck, mahogany top, back and sides. Frets and fingerboard have minimal wear, action is low. Slight discoloration where top center seam was reglued and around pickguard due to shrinkage, checking, but as you can see an ultra clean guitar. No work needed, this is a completely original instrument.
