1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Very Good, Original Hard, $17,500.00

All original 1953  Les Paul Goldtop with amazing woody tone. This guitar is 64 years old and the finish has the MoJo:  weather checks, greening, nicks, dings, scratches and lots great vintage vibe. It has the perfect weight of 8lbs 10oz.  I installed a MoJo bridge on the guitar and the original trap bar is included. With the MoJo bridge it plays like a dream. I think it's been refretted at some time. Plays great but could use a fret dress. Looks like here was a touchup done to the right corner of the headstock. Whoever scraped the binding back in 1953 did not scrape the same thickness at the inside of the horn. There is gold paint and lacquer over the seam of the body to binding. Over the years the paint cracked at the seam. The binding is not separating. When I push on the binding it does not move. The original strap and case are included. I also installed a reissue input jackplate but the original one is included.
