American Selmer alto saxophone, Mark Six. Serial number 146xxx, made in 1967. Includes: Marcus Bonna semi-hard case (leather black/never used).

Lacquer paint has peeled off more than 95%. Tube and neck are in good condition.No major repairs or damage. All disassembled and cleaned, all pads, corks, and felts replaced overhauled and adjusted.

Amesel Mark Six 140,000th that has been well blown in. This looks like David Sanborn's beloved instrument, which he has been using for many years, but it also has the Sanborn sound. The rich sustain and luster of a lacquer-retained instrument are attractive, but the rough, dry sound of an instrument that has had the lacquer naturally peeled off after being blown on is unique and one-of-a-kind.It makes you want to play Dukoff with it.
