Here is one of the “Holy Grails” of 1960’s bizarre American made electric guitars! This one was the most popular of the Wurlitzer Wild Ones series guitars, made 1967-68. These guitars were made for Wurlitzer at the old Holman-Woodel guitar factory in Neodesha, Kansas. The factory was located in the Fawcett Building on Main St, just upstairs from the town’s hardware & paint store. The Gemini was available in 3 colors: lollypop red, white taffy and black licorice. Ours is in very good condition with its original case. The original paint has some odd scratches here and there and some corner chips. Neck is straight and action is very low. No cracks, damage or repairs to wood or pick-guard. Neck is thin and fast with good frets and perfect bindings and inlays. Guitar plays and sounds excellent. If you have ever played a Wurlitzer guitar made at the Holman-Woodel Factory, such as one of the “Wild Ones”, you will know that these pickups are truly exceptional; bright, clear and crisp! These tremolos are unique and beautifully engineered. They work smoothly and flawlessly and are a true delight!! A very nice example of an iconic 60’s American guitar!
I have seen 3 of these guitars that have been popping up on various sites, again and again, over the past 4-5 years that are repaired, repainted, missing original parts, missing serial numbers and with replaced parts. Mine is all original: original paint, original parts (missing none), has its original stamped steel serial number plate, its original case and absolutely one of the nicest examples of this rare guitar that has come up for sale.

Because of the delicate nature of electronics and the possibility of parts swapping, all electric guitars are sold as is. I am not one of those people who makes it a habit of dissecting their guitars and photographing their guts: Only in a rare occasion, if the guitar merits it.
